By request I am going to list some of the details of producing Alpha-1. I did not take any step by step pics during his construction, as it is one of the easier conversions to produce.

First off I started with two model kits.

1.) Neo-Soviet: Cyclops 3; arms at side 40-406

2.) Warmachine Brute Thrall

Second, I removed the arms from the Cyclops model with a dremel tool:

Next I cut the base connection piece on the Brute thrall so it would fit in the standard 28mm base.

After that I used a boring bit to cut the actual shoulder muscle away from the bicep muscles creating a V shape. This connects almost perfectly with the Brute Thrall model as the arms are packaged un attached and connect at the shoulder muscle. I pinned the arms and used a little green stuff to connect them. I also rolled a small ball of green stuff and pressed it onto the straps around the Cyclops' hands. This creates the large buckle present in the Alpha-1 artwork from Razorfang's Exodus. I painted the hammer and sickle on the buckle during the painting process.

The next step(sorry no pics as I didn't plan on this step). I had to use the Dremel to file down the bulging neck from the Brute Thrall's body. I had originally just glued a Cyclops head into the slot where the Brute Thrall's head would go but it stock out in an odd fashion resembling a part of the male anatomy from the side view. Filling down the neck gives Alpha-1 even more of a resemblance to the standard Cyclops models.

For painting, I wanted to choose colors that really stood out. I was inspired by Scrollmaster's Blue Cyclops here:

So I choose a Blue and produced what you see here:

Yes, very nice, thx for the post. This is a great looking conversion and seems like it would be easy to do. Nice job.

I'll be interested in seeing your Gorstov once that's done too.

Hopefully you'll get to see them both in person some time! Still waiting for the Kommander model though... :(
