For me the big mysteries are:
1) What actually happened with the Vorach generator/device: created the Maelstrom or just opened the pathway into it?
2) What became of the Thal Uhroth? Are they now the Shard?
3) What the heck is the God King/Morgue God?

Are the Thal Uhroth the people who wiped out the Pharon? I've been curious about those folks and have been wondering if they will ever appear in the game.
With 2.0 coming out I just might get an answer to that age old questions.

I'd be happy if *some* of these types of questions weren't covered in sourcebooks, and had some real storyline novels...
I don't read much non-fiction, but the original books (owning all six) were great, even if they had no effect on the story arc.

The Thal Uroth are the Ancients, I believe. Certainly not the Shard...they came a lot later.
